i’m am totally sick of the comparison that has arisen from these two books..it’s driving me insane..why do people just tend to compare them??they are two books of totally different genres and subject matter, there is no way they can be compared in any way..there are no similarities whatsoever…and the fact the lupin is a werewolf and jacob is also one and that there was a mention of vampires in the 6th bookof hp ( in the chpater concerning slughorn’s party) doesn’t count..
here’s the very big difference…
harry potter is a fantasy book and is a part of children’s literature..but i don’t mean that harry potter is only for children, it’s more of a book about growing up, notice how in each book, jk rowling depicts a new stage in the life of a person???try to notice that..harry potter is all about love, friendship, bravery, trust, loyalty etc..you get the picture..
twilight on the other hand is a book that mainly targets the teenage genre, specifically girls(it would be totally weird to find out a guy reads this)…it talks about love, but not the same kind of love as hp, twilight is more abut the relationship, boy-grils kinda love..you know of how the person that is meant for you is somewhere around the corner..etc..
so you see…totally different…i’ve read both of the series and i can really say that they are not alike at all, except maybe that both are dealing with things that cannot possibly happen in real life..(vampire, werewolves, wizards etc..)..
the only reason there has been a comparison was because there movies just happened premiere at the almost same time..(3 week difference) and also due to the fact that when hp was moved to july of next year, the twilight movie took over its original release date, so you can clearly see on what that can lead to…
anyways, as i have mentioned, i am sick of the comparison…i like both of them and the fact that they both contribute to the love of reading is what matters right????hopefully, it does…well, till my next post..
